March 27, 2023: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has received enough electronic registrations during the initial registration period to reach the fiscal year (FY) 2024 H-1B numerical allocations (H-1B cap), including the advanced degree exemption (master’s cap). USCIS has completed the "random selection process" from the registrations received to reach the cap, and have notified all prospective petitioners/employers that they are eligible to file an H-1B cap-subject petition for the beneficiary named in the selected registration.
March 6, 2003: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced the expansion of premium processing for certain F-1 students seeking Optional Practical Training (OPT) and F-1 students seeking science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) OPT extensions who have a pending Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and wish to request a premium processing upgrade.

March 1, 2003: The registration period for FY 2024 H-1B cap opens at 12 noon ET on March 1, 2023 and will run through 12 noon ET March 17, 2023. USCIS will randomly select registrations and send Selection Notices by March 31, 2024.
